Four- Eyes is a Thing of the Past

Typing this up without my glasses is giving me such an accomplished feeling. The procedure went excellently, my post opt visit announced that I was seeing better than 20/20 and despite the scratchy eye feeling a have I am ecstatic. From start to finish I was in the clinic for four hours but the actually eye zapping only took about 5 minutes. The surgeon, Dr. Hakim was amazing, funny, assuring and actually kinda cute! The only time it was a bit uncomfortable was when pressure was applied to the outside of my eye so that my eye ball could be fully exposed with out the chance of even an eyelash getting in the way! Oh and they warn you that you'll smell a burnt hair or burnt flesh smell when you get in there, but it was a whole other matter when I realized it was my eyes being lasered that made that smell! Grosss!! I am soo happy though and now all i have to do is be careful not to get debris in my eye and take my drops. All well within my capabilities!
These last 2 weeks have been unbelievable. Leaving Manulife was pretty tough. Driving home after my last day at work this wave of panic washed over me. Besides my plans to go away to South Korea I had nothing to do, no job set up and definitely no place of my own. Squatting at my friends' pace has been awesome but it would wear me down after too long and going to live at home will drive me insane. Just enough incentive to get on a plane and fly around the world!
As for SK updates I have my diploma and transcript form requests, my passport should be ready in a weak. Have to get my police record and re-apply tomorrow because HR at YES Youngdo must've disregarded my letter asking to be fast tracked. It has almost been a week and i haven't heard from them! So I'll do it the proper way like everyone else. That's tomorrows to-do initiative. Currently I am cleaning my friend's place. It's not her fault int he least but her slum landlord has let her place literally fall apart. Since i have nothing else to do I have been scraping years worth of grime off floors, bath tubs, toilets etc... it is a satisfying project and the only downfall of my surgery I can see everything!! : o )

That's it for now. i have to rest my eyes!
